Our Story

Coexist Coffee Co. started out in June 2021, serving self-roasted coffee and modern Singaporean cuisine at the rooftop of an old industrial building in Hillview. Our belief was — and still is — to create a community where everyone can coexist through a cup of coffee, sharing joy and laughter over a casual meal.

In late 2022 we took our first step out, into the heart of the entertainment district — a Keong Saik St outlet with a cobalt blue & timber theme, café by day, bar by night. That chapter closed not long after, but it didn't slow us down.

In March 2023 we arrived at Paya Lebar, launching our flagship at Lifelong Learning Institute with a 360° half-bar, half-micro-roastery concept. From there we grew beyond food and drinks — into co-roasting, where fellow coffee lovers can rent our roasters, and the Coffee Academy, where we share what we know through workshops and classes.

Every bag we sell and every cup we pour is roasted in-house on our Probatone 5 — from raw green bean to first crack to final cool-down. It's a slower way of doing things, but it's the only way we know how to guarantee what's in the cup.

We partner directly with multiple farmers, especially in Indonesia — an area we believe is still relatively undiscovered for gourmet coffee. Its volcanic terrain makes for nutrient-dense, coffee-friendly soil, and controlling this much of the process, from farm to roaster to cup, is how we guarantee quality at every step.

At Coexist, we believe coffee has the power to bring people together, no matter their background or beliefs — it's the whole reason the Coffee Academy exists, and the whole reason we keep opening our doors.
